These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of PawCompass ("PawCompass," "we," "us," or "our"), a directory of pet-friendly places and services. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

How Our Directory Is Compiled

PawCompass aggregates information about pet-related places from publicly available sources so that pet owners can discover them in one place. These sources include:

• Community mapping data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL);
• Mapping and places data providers used to fill gaps in coverage; and
• Information published on the businesses' own public websites.

We display this information to help users find and evaluate pet services. Trademarks, business names, and logos remain the property of their respective owners, and their appearance in the directory does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

In the interest of transparency: some content on PawCompass is created with the help of artificial intelligence. We use automated AI tools to read publicly available information about a place and generate or enrich listing content, for example pet-owner-focused summaries and descriptions, category and amenity tags, and inferred attributes such as pet policies or fees.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. We apply a confidence threshold: lower-confidence output is reviewed by a person before publication, and listings we have re-checked recently may display a "verified" badge. Even so, all directory content is provided "as is," for general informational purposes only, and is not professional advice, including veterinary, medical, health, or safety advice. Always confirm important details (such as hours, prices, pet policies, and emergency availability) directly with the business before relying on them.

No Warranty

We do not warrant that listings are accurate, complete, current, or free of errors, and we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, or services of any business listed. Your use of the directory and any reliance on its content is at your own risk.

Reviews and User Content

You may submit reviews and ratings. You are responsible for the content you submit and agree that it will be truthful, based on genuine experience, and free of unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material. Reviews are moderated and are held pending approval before they appear. By submitting content, you grant PawCompass a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with the service. We may remove content at our discretion.

Corrections and Removal Requests

If you are a business owner or authorized representative and believe a listing is inaccurate, or you would like your business's information corrected or removed, please contact us and we will review your request. We aim to honor reasonable correction and removal requests promptly.

Third-Party Links

Listings may link to third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those websites.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawCompass and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or its content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of PawCompass after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
