Is lilies (true lilies & daylilies) toxic to dogs or cats?

Mild stomach upset in dogs.
Deadly. Every part, even pollen or vase water, can cause kidney failure.
For cats, true lilies and daylilies are the most dangerous plant there is: grooming pollen off their fur or drinking vase water can cause fatal kidney failure, and treatment only works if started within hours. If you own a cat, do not bring lilies into the house at all. Dogs get away with mild stomach upset.
Signs to watch for
- Cats: vomiting, lethargy, then kidney failure within days
- Dogs: mild GI upset
