Is chrysanthemum toxic to dogs or cats?

Cats are more sensitive to pyrethrins; keep mums away.
Mums contain natural pyrethrins, the same compound family used in insecticides, and cats in particular process them poorly. A few chewed petals usually mean drooling and an upset stomach; wobbliness earns a vet call. The fall porch display can live above nose height.
