Saponins cause nausea and vomiting; rarely serious.
Mild GI upset for cats.
The nearly indestructible snake plant contains saponins that cause mild gastrointestinal upset when chewed. The tough leaves discourage most pets after a bite or two. Watch and call if vomiting persists.
